Lightworks is a free video editor with no watermark that provides comprehensive tools for creating high-quality videos. As the chart shows, there are really 3 camps of providers. First, there are the providers whose bitrates seem too low: YouTube and Vimeo, plus Netflix and Hulu at the lower resolutions. Our chosen bitrates are significantly higher than both YouTube and Vimeo at all resolutions, due to our goal of very good visual quality with no major visible compression artifacts. At the lower resolutions, we also use higher bitrates than Netflix and Hulu, again for quality's sake, although they're equal at higher resolutions. Interestingly, Netflix and Hulu are the only others to offer multiple bitrates at some resolutions (480p and 720p) to make full use of the user's Internet link speed for higher quality.
The second category are providers that are predominantly concerned with low-quality video as a service, not the best quality possible. This includes both the channels that require you to upload the video to them (e.g. YouTube), and the ones that offer to host your video for free (e.g. Vimeo). As a result, the video quality of these video hosting sites are generally of far lower quality than our chosen bitrates would suggest. The bitrate here (the lowest one for each file type) is the lowest bitrate that will get you to the lowest quality on the service (e.g. YouTube).
The third category of providers are the ones that actually provide high quality streaming video, such as Facebook's Live, Periscope, and Getty Images Live, but these generally require an audio channel or live chat capabilities in addition to video, as the Live experience up to now has been very oriented around the service. d2c66b5586
