Gunadasa Kapuge (English: "Songs on vellum with golden leaves") is a collection of 15 medieval Sinhalese poems on the 16th Vow of Ambalangoda, written by the master musician and poet Gampaha Alakakuru Obeyesekere. It is currently the most recognised collection of poems by a Sri Lankan writer and has even earned him the title of the "Sri Lanka's national poet".
Obeyesekere was remarkably prolific in his poetic output having written hundreds of poems in different genres between 1847 and 1859. He was a prolific poet and poet of diverse genres such as epic, satire, social satire, satire of classical poetry, romance, nature poetry, spiritual poetry.
