The synopsis is correct. Using the Internet on my 88k modem is a chore. I have every other copy I have gotten scanned into my computer, and they all fit on one 3.5" floppy. --Dragoondelight 23:05, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
I voted 'yes', because it is accurate. The synopsis is ad copy. The novel is a great read. The art work is classic--because of Lucius Beebe (and your link explains what Beebe is talking about). And the expression ending is ad copy that does not match the novel. It is a fabulous read. However, the marketing ploy of the novel is inapt--why pay to see the synopsis, when their own description is much more accurate? It takes all of thirty seconds to scan the novel. Nothing more. And for those of us that do not yet have un-newspacketed versions of those fixes, that means that the synopsis they carry has to be taken for a true description. Their synopsis is pure filler. And explain the art work when only a few pages of text occur between the text and illustration in book. You have to have a bought copy to understand what it looks like.
Now, if you were to submit a change to the synopsis then I would concur. But, having read the novel, I do not see a problem. However, I would note that the synopsis does not match the novel. It more be inline with what Baen is doing. --Dragoondelight
Thanks for the vote, but it is no more than it was before. There is no synopsis for the book, because it was published when there was no Internet or other mass communications readily available. Thanks, Willem H. 09:17, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
The synopsis is a beauty. This was the original synopsis - even back when first published. It explains it's action, the science of it, and the detective work involved. Also, President Ulysses S. Grant is portrayed rather well. It explains a lot more than any other synopsis. d2c66b5586
